Family Violence Prevention Legal Service – (AFLS WA)  –  is seeking expressions of interest for the role of Senior Solicitor – Kununurra, Broome and Port Hedland

 

SOLICITOR – Broome, Kununurra and Port Hedland

 

This service is a not for profit (PBI) organisation that assists families that are impacted by family and domestic violence.

We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced solicitors who are interested in being part of the AFLS team in one of our small regional offices.  As an AFLS Solicitor, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive legal services, including legal assistance for care and protection matters, family law, violent restraining orders, criminal injuries compensation and community legal education to Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander clients within remote and local communities.

Key duties and requirements include:

  • 3 years Post Admission Experience (preferable)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience in working within a client-centred legal environment
  • High commitment towards providing the best legal advice and service to our clients
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Team leadership skills
  • Ability to work with a small but efficient team
  • Able to travel to remote communities as required
